In 2000, the Society acquired a 33-ropanis property in Thecho, Kathmandu, aiming to establish a reputable Technical and Vocational Training Institute.
To address the high number of school dropouts, a vocational training institute was established in Thecho, located 7 kilometers from the city center. Initially a modest computer center in 2001, it has since evolved into a comprehensive Technical Training Institute offering various courses such as Basic Computer Application, Computer Graphics, Tally Accounting, and others. The institute is housed in a spacious building with modern amenities.
At Nepal Don Bosco Society in Thecho, a coaching center caters to economically disadvantaged children from grades I to VIII. Six teachers provide free coaching to approximately 220 students six days a week, from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM.
Aligned with its objectives, the society has undertaken numerous social outreach programs. Following the 2015 earthquake, it provided relief aid, established temporary learning centers in 20 affected districts, and constructed 10 government schools across four districts. Additionally, the Don Bosco Technical Institute offers skill training to hundreds of young individuals as part of rehabilitation efforts.
